Scammers are getting smarter :( Can Revokes harm?

Today, in 1962, the first communication satellite, "Telstar," was launched. We know for sure that they did it so that people in 2023 could argue in chats whether LayerZero had a snapshot. Isn't that right?...

Now let's talk about a new (yeah) type of scam and ways to counter it. And let's also discuss Mean Finance activity :)

In the news: EigenLayer is opening pools today, Gitcoin has launched its L2, and Tether is freezing $2.5 million USDT from Multichain.

Drama title: "Scammers have become smarter =(("

Action #1: Lately, with the news of hacks in various projects (Multichain and others), people have been increasingly turning to revokes (unlinking wallets from platforms).

Action #2: Scammers caught on to this and started deceiving people with... revokes.

Scheme:

– They send the victim some fake shit tokens and make fake approvals.

– The victim goes to revoke.cash, for example. They see strange approvals and start removing them.

– The victim incurs very high gas fees... which is not gas. Scammers are stealing money from the person.

What to do?

– Never interact with unknown tokens, NEVER. Verify tokens to find contracts on CoinGecko, for example, in the Info section on the right column.

– Remember that crypto is the Wild West. Today you have precious gems in your bag, and tomorrow - a cow pie.

– Revoke guys said they will filter transactions with very high gas fees, but... you know what they say about being cautious.

Being scammed is not scary - not learning from it is.
