Kazakhstan penalises illegal miners by 200 milli

Remember that most of the miners fled to Kazakhstan after the Chinese events, right? Well. 

On March 15, the Financial Monitoring Agency of Kazakhstan reported about its work on curbing the local mining industry. Illegal miners were punished - 100 billion tenges or $194 million worth of equipment was confiscated. 

The Financial Monitoring Agency also reported that 25 previously illegal businesses had registered.

The European Parliament has been spared mining

The European Parliament remembered that it was the euro and embraced the not-so-harmful POW mining, as it turned out.

The problems initially cited as the reason for a possible ban, namely the energy costs and the lack of environmental friendliness, apparently turned out to be insufficiently weighty.
