Today, the whole world celebrates Anti-Corruption Day. For many, cryptocurrencies are a great way to launder money or pass on bribes. But the reality is that blockchain can help intelligence agencies catch unscrupulous officials far better than any other technology. Politicians realise that cryptocurrencies will make their dirty schemes scatter into corners like cockroaches suddenly turned on by a light in the kitchen.

Top executives from Coinbase, Circle and four other cryptocurrency firms appeared before members of Congress on Wednesday—an event that in past years would have triggered indignation and scoldings. Instead the crypto execs were greeted with curiosity and even encouragement.

The five-hour hearing took place before the U.S. House Committee on Financial Services where six CEOs, including Sam Bankman-Fried of FTX, testified about the growing importance of crypto and the industry's desire for regulation.

So what? 

Briefly! Democrats and Republicans are sort of for crypto, saying it's better than the banking system - but they're afraid crypto could undermine the dollar. 

So far, we don't know what will come of this, and we won't post sh!t about "full understanding" between crypto and the US government. We're watching! 

Payments giant Visa has announced the formation of a new cryptocurrency-focused advisory unit to help clients get to grips with the sector.

The unit will sit within the company’s broader consulting and analytics division, which offers payments-related consultancy services.

So what?

We wonder how the consultation will go?
